About NZDr

Recruitment with experience, honesty and a human touch

Our approach is built around the simple principles of honesty, integrity and trust.

Recruitment is personal

You’re not a CV to be matched to the first available vacancy. And we’re not interested in recruitment for recruitment’s sake.

Our job is to understand what you actually want, then use our knowledge of New Zealand healthcare, the services we recruit into and the relationships we’ve built over many years to help you find the right fit.

Sometimes that means introducing you to an advertised role. More often it means starting with you and your priorities, then speaking directly with the healthcare providers and their teams.

Advice you can make decisions with

We’ll give you a full and frank view of the opportunity. If something is likely to be difficult, if a pathway may limit your options later, or if we don’t think a role is right for you, we’ll say so.

That honesty matters. Our aim is not to get you to a yes as quickly as possible. It is to help you make a decision with realistic expectations and a clear view of how today's decisions affect your options later.

New Zealand knowledge that goes beyond recruitment

Our team is based here, we recruit only for New Zealand, and we know the health system, regions and employers we work with.

For international doctors, that local knowledge extends beyond the job. We understand that schools, housing, family, timing, communities and what day-to-day life will actually look like can be just as important as the role itself.

Our team has lived experience of moving countries, so the support is grounded in the practical realities of relocation, not just a checklist.

Here when you need us

Because we’re a small team, you’re not passed from department to department. We stay close to the process, keep communication straightforward and remain available when questions come up.

Once you’re in a role, we’re not going to call for the sake of calling, but if you need advice, want to talk something through or are ready to think about what comes next, you know who to contact.
