About the role
The Critical Care Complex, based at Middlemore Hospital, has a progressive attitude to intensive care medicine and development of the service, with a multi-disciplinary, non-hierarchical approach. Admission numbers are around 1400 per year to the Complex (ICU/HDU) with 85% of these as acute admissions. They are a supra-regional spinal injury service and care for severe burns as part of the National Burn Service taking patients from throughout New Zealand. Additionally, they admit around 150 paediatric patients each year and are involved in paediatric resuscitation in the Emergency Department.

Base salary range: NZ$198,386 – NZ$282,645 (on call and job size on top)
6 weeks annual leave
Generous CME leave and funding (currently up to NZ$18,000 per annum under the collective agreement)
