Gastroenterologist Senior Medical Officer

As a Senior Medical Officer in Gastroenterology, you’ll contribute to a dynamic, multidisciplinary department offering acute inpatient care, endoscopy, and specialist clinics in hepatology and IBD. With a strong focus on patient-centred care and service development, this role invites your expertise in general gastroenterology or subspecialty interests such as inflammatory bowel disease.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience and expertise in Gastroenterology

Subspecialty interests will be considered.

Hold post graduate specialist qualifications and registration in Internal Medicine with sub specialism in Gastroenterology.

Be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate and vocational scope of Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.

Health New Zealand has a Collective Employment Agreement in place across all their Districts offering:

Annual leave: 6 weeks

CME Allowance and Leave - $16,000/2 weeks

$185,000 - $268,000 Base salary + allowances for job size, on call and availability.
