A consultant is sought to join a progressive medical team in Rotorua, providing both inpatient General Medicine and specialist Cardiology services within a regional hospital setting. The role combines acute general medical care with dedicated cardiology input, including support for CCU, specialist outpatient clinics, and non-invasive diagnostics. An interest in cardiac imaging—particularly echocardiography, CT coronary angiography, and ambulatory monitoring—is highly advantageous, with scope to contribute to service development and enhance acute care pathways. The team includes physicians with subspecialty expertise across Cardiology, Endocrinology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology and Obstetric Medicine, fostering a collaborative and well-supported environment.

Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience and expertise in General Medicine and ideally Cardiology – an interest in cariology imaging is advantageous.
Subspecialty interests will be considered.
Hold post graduate specialist qualifications and registration in Internal Medicine
Be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate and vocational scope of Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
