We are seeking a Consultant General Surgeon with experience across a wide range of procedures including endoscopy, basic vascular, urological, breast, and paediatric surgery. You’ll work in a supportive secondary hospital setting, serving a diverse population.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience and expertise in General Surgery

Subspecialty interests will be considered.

Hold post graduate specialist qualifications and registration in General Surgery

Be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate and vocational scope of General Surgery with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.

Health New Zealand has a Collective Employment Agreement in place across all their Districts offering:

Annual leave: 6 weeks

CME Allowance and Leave - $16,000/2 weeks

$185,000 - $268,000 Base salary + allowances for job size, on call and availability.

Reimbursement of APC, college membership, and indemnity insurance.
