We’re seeking an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join the friendly and supportive Women’s Health team at Palmerston North Hospital in a permanent full-time role. The service has undergone significant transformation in recent years, with a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, quality improvement and delivering excellent care for women, babies and whānau across the MidCentral region. You’ll provide broad generalist obstetric and gynaecological care, with opportunities to be involved in obstetric ultrasound, multidisciplinary antenatal diabetic clinics, secondary maternity care, colposcopy, urogynaecology, fertility services, hysteroscopy and inpatient and outpatient gynaecology. The role also includes outreach clinics across Levin, Feilding and Dannevirke, participation in the on-call roster with 24/7 registrar and house officer support, and opportunities to contribute to teaching, research and service development. The unit is accredited for both core and advanced RANZCOG trainees, with recently upgraded operating theatres and a surgical robot due to arrive later this year.

Base salary range: NZ$198,386 – NZ$282,645 (on call and job size on top)

• 6 weeks annual leave
• Generous CME leave and funding (currently up to NZ$18,000 per annum under the collective agreement)
