Obstetrician & Gynaecologist - fixed term

Fixed Term, Part Time to May 2027- up to 0.9FTE

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join the Women’s and Children’s Health team at Te Whatu Ora Waikato, covering sabbatical leave. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive service with a strong focus on patient-centred care, multidisciplinary teamwork and delivering high-quality elective services.

You’ll be involved in ward rounds and ward work, outpatient clinics, pre-theatre assessments, operating lists, on-call duties and multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences and reviews. As a Senior Medical Officer, you’ll contribute to a service focused on equitable obstetrics and gynaecology care, registrar and house officer development, clinical audit, quality improvement and positive patient outcomes. The role would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively in a busy clinical environment and is keen to contribute to ongoing service development.

Hamilton is located in the heart of the Waikato, offering an excellent balance of city living and easy access to beaches, mountains, mountain biking, water sports and the wider North Island. Base salary range: NZ$198,386 – NZ$282,645 (on call and job size on top)
