We are working with a number of laboratories in New Zealand cities to recruit Pathologists.
The most urgent areas of need are medical renal pathology (including renal transplants), gastrointestinal pathology (upper and lower), pancreas and bile ducts, plus urology. Cytology experience would also be very useful. Other vacancies include be skin pathology and chemical pathology.
You will need to be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council. Your training, qualifications and experience are compared with that of a New Zealand trained doctor; recognised specialists in New Zealand must complete 6 years of training and meet the requirements below:
If your training is from the United States of America and you hold a:
· Certificate of the American Board of Pathology
· Certificate of the American Osteopathic Board of Pathology.
Then there is the opportunity to come and work for 12 months via a Locum Tenens registration pathway.
